Haapsalu Sall book

Hi there,

This morning I had to sign for a package from Estonia! In it was the long awaited Haapsalu Sall book everyone on the KBTH list has been drooling over. I ordered mine almost exactly 2 weeks ago - so the wait was not as long as I feared. (I ordered it from Hobipunkt.ee - Ms. Helen Idarand was very responsive with answers to email.
)

For those of you still waiting for their copy, here are some pictures to tide you over:

Explanation of stitches

My pictures have a blue tint to them, but the book is very elegant looking in beige/off-white tones.
Some patterns that caught my eye:

And a few borders: I know what I'll be doing for the next hour(s)!

Take care.

  1. I got mine yesterday too! Drool. Did you see that wonder set of pictures in the first part of the book where there was a group of older ladies knitting shawls and a group of young ladies doing same? Fabulous. I laughed and laughed.

    The yarn owner was not going to pay me for a negative review. OOO, squirmy. I told her she could send me anything she liked, and if it was fabulous, I would talk about it for free. Best compromise.

  2. Your post was instrumental in me finally ordering this book (after trying to show some restraint). Can't wait!

  3. Thanks to your photos, I gave in and ordered mine too. I was starting to think I was the only one left who loves nupps, but doesn't have that book! Now I can't wait to get it! *sigh*
